Supporting Veteran Health Through Movement and Rehabilitation
At Engage Exercise Physiology, we are proud to support Veterans and eligible DVA cardholders by providing personalised, evidence-based exercise interventions aimed at managing chronic conditions, improving physical function, and promoting long-term health and independence.
Our Exercise Physiologists work closely with DVA patients to develop tailored rehabilitation and exercise programs that address both medical needs and individual lifestyle goals. We take an integrated approach, focusing not just on the condition itself but on improving overall well-being and empowering Veterans to take an active role in their recovery and health management.
Our programs are designed to safely improve mobility, strength, endurance, and confidence, while also helping to reduce pain, manage symptoms, and support daily function.
Our Goals for DVA Veterans Include:
- Conducting a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s health status, condition, and physical capacity
- Developing an individualised exercise plan tailored to the Veteran’s clinical condition, rehabilitation needs, and personal goals
- Providing ongoing education, support, and skill-building to enable long-term self-management of their exercise and health
- Enhancing quality of life through increased independence, functional ability, and confidence
Who Can Refer a DVA Patient?
Eligible DVA patients can be referred to Engage Exercise Physiology by:
- A Medical Practitioner
- A Medical Specialist
- A Hospital Discharge Planner
DVA Entitlements:
- Gold Card Holders
- Entitled to treatment for all medical conditions, including those unrelated to military service.
- White Card Holders
- Entitled to treatment for specific conditions that are accepted as service-related by DVA.
